Here's What 'No-Spend' January Looks Like to Me | How Much Did I Spend Last Week? | Jan 3-9, 2022
Remember I decided I wasn’t going to buy any stuff in January?! Well… it hasn’t been going all that well. I have nothing to say in my defence except that I am weak.
Monday
When I first had Atlas, ordering Starbucks via Uber Eats was totally justified. I’d just had major abdominal surgery! I was stuck under the baby! Sure there’s no reason to bring him out in the car!
Now, however, I am pretty sure that I could get in the car with Atlas and go to Starbucks. Better yet, I could not go to Starbucks and make and eat my breakfast at home. And yet… I order Starbucks for delivery via Uber Eats. ($24.41)
It’s my parents’ second last week here – they go back to Ireland on the 14th – so after breakfast I go over to Bea’s to hang out with them and the boys, who are back to school tomorrow after the Christmas break.
Otherwise I try to lean into the idea of doing nothing with the baby: we watch Succession and he falls asleep on my lap. Rinse and repeat.
Brandin and the boys get home in the late afternoon and we have pasta for dinner. When they go to bed, Brandin and I watch some TV and go to bed ourselves at around 9.30pm.
Daily total: $24.41
