Hannah (36) is a Project Manager who, at the time of this money diary, lived in Indiana with her husband Justin (39) and their dog, Dexter (3). Originally from Florida, they moved to Indiana in 2021 for work.

Since submitting this money diary, they have moved back to Florida to be nearer family (and further from snow). This is a week in her life.

Evil Season 4: Release Date, Cast, Story, Trailer & Everything We Know

Monday

We’ve decided that this month we aren’t going to eat out. We are trying to save money and eating out is the place we throw money away the most, to the tune of about $800 per month. That may not seem like a ton but considering it is just me and my husband...it is. So to curb the habit of just grabbing something quick in lieu of cooking, we’ve decided to challenge ourselves a bit. In that spirit, I put some chicken in the crockpot with BBQ sauce for dinner.

Today is Labor Day, a US holiday, so we are both off work. I’m an early riser so I got up around 7am and eat some breakfast while watching Love Island. I’m late to the most recent season with Ariana hosting but can I just say, WTF AARON?!? I just watched the episode where the boys come back from Casa Amor and choices were made. POOR ONES.

My husband, Justin, wakes up about an hour later and heads straight for the couch where he will nurse his back the rest of the day. He rarely gets sick or injured but about twice a year his lower back will act up. Poor guy.

I go on a walk because I plan on binging the rest of Love Island today and need to get my 8,000 steps in before I can justify being sedentary for 8+ hours.

Back from my walk I have a snack of an apple and a Perfect Bar even though I want a slice of lemon loaf and venti peach green tea lemonade from Starbucks. Then I head to get a shower because I’m sweaty from my walk. It’s cooling off but not enough to avoid working up a sweat.

After my shower I settle in on the couch where I plan to stay the rest of the day only leaving to get food. We turn on Evil, a new show we've been binging. I’m already bummed there are only two seasons on Netflix and four in total. It is way better than I expected.

A couple hours later I made a very boring lunch of leftovers consisting of carrots, green beans, gluten-free mac and cheese that left a lot to be desired, and gluten-free chicken nuggets that were surprisingly good. I eat it on the couch while watching another episode of Evil.

Justin starts his school work so I binge Love Island (still very much WTF AARON?!?) and I lounge on the couch, dreading making dinner. But alas, I pull myself off the couch a few hours later and put the roast potatoes into the oven to go with out BBQ chicken and the rest of the green beans and carrots.

By 8.30pm I’m tried so I head upstairs to start my evening routine. Once I’ve done skincare and brushed and flossed I climb into bed with my journal and the Throne of Glass books I’m reading (I’m currently on the tandem read of Empire of Storms and Tower of Dawn). At 10pm it’s lights out because I get up early at 6am on the weekdays.

Daily total: $0
