I’m crying too much at the moment. I’m not sure what the appropriate amount of crying even is, but I definitely reached it and roared right on past to where I am now, fresh off a bout of several hours of absolutely-no-reason-for-it crying. The truly galling thing about all of this crying is that there’s even less reason for it than usual. I’m pregnant with the baby I’ve wanted for what feels likes a long time – probably a little over a year, which really isn’t that long, but that’s how long it took me to get over the trauma of the first baby – and that should be enough for me to be smiling non-stop, right? A gorgeous baby! Everything I’ve wanted! But it’s clearly not enough.
I’m so sorry you’re feeling so bad. I really hope it turns around for you soon. It’s so hard. On the writing side of things, sometimes our perceptions when we’re feeling bad don’t match reality, so I did a quick count. We’re supposed to get two pieces a week, so that would be 52 so far this year. We’ve gotten 56 and I know I always enjoy reading them. You’re doing better than you think ❤️
I don't think I have ever read something that resembles my own feelings so well. I hope you get through this rough time asap and come out the other side. It's so hard remembering how it feels to be out of the hole while you're still in the midst of it all. Hang in there!
So sorry to hear it’s so tough at the moment. That sounds relentless and incredibly hard, especially while pregnant. We all struggle in different ways and we’re all human. I am sure this candour and generous honesty will bring a lot of comfort and normalisation to many. You are writing loads, and it’s great quality by the way. I hope you start to feel like your best self soon and that things start feeling lighter and brighter for you xx

Having been in the same hole as the "Crying while the child is in school" and fitting it in among the parenting chores - god, it's so hard, and that's even without the extra hormones and everything else being pushed in. Please know that you are doing great, your writing is still fantastic and a highlight of my feed each post - and that things will get brighter, even if it is absolutely SHITE at the moment.
